Missions Opportunities

The members of Spruce Pine United Methodist Church are concerned about their community and their world.

     History:

1999  Cookson Hills, OK

Summer 2000 Missions Trip.   Flood relief and reconstruction in Greenville, NC
 
 Summer 2002 Missions Trip: A group traveled to Washington D.C. this summer to be involved in the Jubilee Ministries program of The Church of The Savior. Projects included painting, landscaping, working in soup kitchens, ministry with inner-city children, and other areas of work in urban ministry.

Summer 2003 Missions Trip: A group of youth and adults are planning to travel to Atlanta, GA to work in soup kitchens, ministry with inner-city children, and other areas of work in urban ministry.

Individuals in the church are involved in many ways in the community, including volunteering for Shepherd Staff, prison ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Guardian ad Litem, Hospice, Scouting, Brian Center, SafePlace, etc. With many gifts, there are many mission expressions as we serve Christ.
