Trail of Tears -- Saturday Update
Good morning
everyone. I am at McFarland Park next to the beautiful Tennessee
River in Florence, Alabama. We had a wonderful ride Saturday,
other than just a little bit of rain. We left our motel room
about 6 AM, and lined up near the TN River in Chattanooga. Met
with some friends from Bikers for Christ from L A (Lower Alabama) and
had some good fellowship there; a big prayer for safety. I see
these fellows every year -- its really good to see them.
The ride stopped
for lunch in Fayetteville Tennessee -- a wonderful host.
They had us come in the fairgrounds, which was fairly large. It
was filled up with motorcycles. I do not know the numbers
yet; I'm sure it was close to 100,000. There was a small
pow-wow going on there, and that was very entertaining.
The only
accident that happened was a passenger on a bike, for some reason,
leaned way over, maybe to tie her shoe, and caused the motorcycle to
get out of balance. They ended up wrecking with a slight injury
of a broken ankle. It could have been a lot worse.
We are
preparing to go to Oklahoma this morning, leaving from Tuscumbia,
Alabama at 8 AM. This will be the hardest part of the ride.
We are going to be in Pine Bluff, Arkansas tonight. That's in the
neighborhood of 10 or 11 hours motorcycle riding.
Please continue
to pray for us. I hope you all have a wonderful service Sunday
morning. We start our Irresistible
Invitation study. I hope everybody enjoys it. I'm going to try to catch up with
you all as far as reading it this evening.
God Bless.
